NYC Subway Car R-6-3 #983

About a year and a half ago I discovered something I had known about since I was a child, but never really thought much about. Just like the trolley and the interurban cars, the subway cars are electrically driven and run on 600 volts DC.

When I started seeing NYC cars from the 1930s to the late 60s I just fell in love with them. I tried diligently to get one from the MTA, and for a while things looks very hopeful. Then in January they told me that at this time they couldn’t let us have one.

I had been told that it would be impossible to get a NYC subway car and not to even try. But I had received it in my spirit and I really believed that I was going to get one. Now, I had been praying for one all this time, so in March of 2013, I was talking to my friend William in Jacksonville, FL, and I just asked him out of the blue if he knew were I could find a subway car, and to my surprise he said, “Yes I do!”

Well, to make a long story short, within a month we were able to purchase the car from a very nice gentlemen in FL.

I would like to end this with the scripture, Matthew 19:26, that tells us, Jesus looked at them and said, “with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
